Digitec Hellas

Cookie Policy

1. The short version

Browsing this website sets no cookies on your device. There is no web analytics, no advertising or remarketing technology, no social media tracking, and no third-party content that would load automatically and identify you.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. Cookies can be useful, for example to keep you signed in, but they can also be used to follow visitors across websites and build advertising profiles. Related technologies such as local storage and pixels can serve the same purposes and are treated the same way in this policy.

3. What we deliberately do not use

  • No web analytics. We do not use Google Analytics or any comparable statistics service.
  • No advertising or remarketing. We run no advertising technology and share nothing with advertising networks.
  • No social media trackers. There are no like buttons or embedded feeds that would report your visit to a social network.
  • No embedded map. Our contact page links to Google Maps instead of embedding it, so nothing loads from Google unless you choose to click that link and open it yourself.

4. Strictly necessary technologies

Two technical mechanisms remain, both essential to operating the site securely:

  • Cloudflare Turnstile protects our quote request form from automated abuse. When you use that form, Turnstile may place a short-lived technical token in your browser purely to confirm that the submission is not made by a bot. It is a security measure, not a tracking tool, and it is not used to profile you or follow you to other websites.
  • WordPress session cookies are set only when a member of our team signs in to administer the site. They are never set for ordinary visitors.

5. Why there is no cookie banner

Under the ePrivacy Directive and the GDPR, consent is required before storing anything on your device that is not strictly necessary to deliver the service you requested. Because this website stores nothing beyond what is strictly necessary, there is nothing to ask your consent for. We consider a banner that asks permission we do not need to be worse for you, not better.

6. Controlling cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies through its privacy or security settings. Because this site does not depend on cookies for visitors, blocking them will not affect your ability to read any page or send us a quote request.

7. Changes and contact

If we ever introduce a technology that stores non-essential data on your device, we will update this policy and ask for your consent beforehand. Questions about this policy can be sent to info@digitechellas.eu or by post to DIMOSTHENIS VLACHOS (Digitec Hellas), 11 Aristotelous Str., Cholargos, Athens, GR-15562, Greece.

See also our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle the personal data you send us through the quote form.
